invalid update control ctf file in AVGFree problem

hey, for a few days already, i had problems with my avgfree Anti Virus, i couldn’t update it because it was reporting that there is an invalid update control ctf file. after trying to download updates manualy from avg website, i saw that the antivirus databases are still outdated. so i thought, what if i just delete the invalid ctf files, avg should re-download them. so i did that and it worked out fine.
here is how to do it :
start > run
then type : c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\avg8\update\download (or just go there through explorer)
then delete/rename all *.ctf files (i renamed mine to *.ctf1) [if you cannot see the file extensions make sure that you uncheck 'hide extensions for known file types' in tools>folder options>view]
then i started avg update
and voila! it downloaded the new updates ;]
